Ostomy bags are bags that serve to carry digestive wastes in patients who have had their gastrointestinal tracks rerouted so that wastes are excreted through a hole in their abdomen, also known as a stoma. The objective of this design project was to improve on the design of an ostomy bag for our patient, J. Peterman, who experiences frequent ballooning of his current ostomy bag due to gastrointestinal gas.
